Depending on the relationship between you and Legal Q, we will process the following data about you:

 

  • Company name (legal person) / First and Last name (natural person)
  • Business address (legal entity) / residential address (natural person)
  • Chamber of Commerce number (legal entity)
  • E-mail address
  • Telephone number (fixed and mobile)
  • Quotation number and invoice number

This information will be provided to us by you or consulted by us through public registers, such as the trade register of the Chamber of Commerce.

  1. Purpose of data processing

Legal Q processes your data for the purposes set out below and uses the retention period specified therein.

Contact

We will receive your information as soon as you contact us by telephone, e-mail, our contact form, WhatsApp, social media or any other means of communication. We will then process this data in order to be able to respond to the message you have sent us. We keep this information for a maximum of 5 years, so that we can see, for example, when we last had contact and what service we have provided to you. It is in our legitimate interest to be informed about this, in order to serve you again in the future.

Offers

If you request a quotation from us, we will process your company and personal data in order to be able to send you a specific quotation. We keep these quotations for 8 years in connection with the legal obligation to keep records.

Agreement

In addition to being able to send quotations and invoices, we sometimes need your details for our file and in order to be able to carry out the agreement that we have with you. This data will then be processed in any case during the term of the agreement.

Files

In some cases it is necessary for us to build up a customer file. In that case, we sometimes also process data of persons who have not personally contacted us but who do business with customers of Legal Q. In particular, we process data that is necessary for the contact and we store all e-mails, letters, agreements and conversations. These are necessary for the file structure and the handling of our legal services. We will keep this information at least until we have delivered what we agreed on in the contract.

Invoicing

If you have given us an order, we will process the data necessary for the execution of that order. These are in any case your name, email address and other information necessary to send a correct invoice. When paying, we receive information about the account of which the payment comes from and the holder of that account. We preserve offers, invoices and payment details for 8 years.

Smooth operation of the website

Each time you visit our website, your (temporary) IP address is detected. This allows us to keep track of our general visitor information. We process this data for technical and functional management, to analyse trends, to keep our website up-to-date, to analyse visitor behaviour, to obtain demographic insight into the visitors of our website and to ensure that our website is easy to use for visitors. We store your IP address 30 days.  

Transmission of Personal Data and third parties

In certain cases it may be necessary for us to provide third parties with access to your personal data.

In that case, Legal Q is neither responsible nor liable for the processing of your personal data by these third parties. To the extent that a third party processes your personal data in the capacity of processor of Legal Q and thus acts in accordance with the request and instructions of Legal Q, we enter into a processor agreement with this third party that meets the requirements described in the GDPR.
